Hi Helen
Yes, you may. That may even assist in developing an appeal which you may lodge with the office of our Chairperson (see details at the end of the letter). The recall was necessitated merely by an incorrect file reference number in the first letter – otherwise, the content is the same. Please utilise the second letter with reference MP/1213/0075.

Good day Eric
I note the contents of your letter, but have to put on record that I do not agree with the finding. May I refer your letters on to sports federations and coaches and for input and comment? In that way I can develop a case to support my view more substantively

Good day Eric
I must admit that I am not comfortable with the outcome. I am disturbed by the letter that was submitted by SASCOC in response to your letter, and I think that I let you know this at the time. Please go back and have a look at the original request for information that was submitted to SASCOC. It must be noted that my request to SASCOC was purely in respect of the Coaching Framework. The Coaching Framework is referred to in the Handbook. I find it difficult to believe that the Framework is not available to the public. It is rather like saying that the Companies Act is a private working paper, the users of the legislation must rely only on a Technical guide that has been prepared based on that act.
Would it assist your understanding of the facts if I provide you with the Coaching Handbook to read? It is a very short document, it can be reviewed in less than an hour. I could also send you copies of the sections that refer to the Framework.

Helen Thrush

Good day Eric
Thank you very much for getting back to me with this information. I simply haven’t
had time personally to follow up on the matter at all. I would appreciate it if you
could provide me with a copy of the SASCOC letter referring to the working papers
as confidential. It sounds as if there has been a follow up communication from SASCOC
that I have not had sight of. In my last correspondence they simply referred to the
fact that the SHRC had requested information over and above my request.
